Pharaoh Brown recalls Bill O’Brien blocked his workout with Patriots years ago

FOXBORO — One of the perfect tales of the Patriots’ younger season is the rising function of journeyman tight finish Pharaoh Brown.

Brown, 29, spent stints with the Raiders, Browns, Texans and Colts earlier than touchdown with the Patriots in late August off of a suggestion from offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien and tight ends coach Will Lawing to go coach Bill Belichick and director of participant personnel Matt Groh.
